Job Description :
Velociti is a well-established company that is experiencing growth with new projects and is looking for a Wireless LAN Technician to join our team for our Nashville, TN region.
Velociti deals with technology deployment services and is headquartered in the Kansas City, MO area. Velociti sits at the top of its industry and provides the resources required to ensure all jobs are done correctly, on time, by properly trained individuals.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct Survey & Installation services of Wired and 2.4GHz/5Ghz Wireless Networks; including Ethernet/Fiber Structured Data Cable and Network Hardware deployment.
Travel from location to location when and where needed to support Velociti’s customers.
Communicate daily with Account Managers, Project Manager & fellow account team members.
Complete any and all documentation for onsite work, including capturing pictures, dimensions, data, locations and any other items included in the customer provided report template.
The ideal candidate will be able to learn any and all technology-based services and perform survey and installation services as needed.
Basic Qualifications: Candidates must possess the basic qualifications below to be considered for this position:
Candidates must have a valid driver license and meet company insurability requirements.
Candidates must demonstrate basic wireless radio frequency knowledge and network troubleshooting skills.
Candidate must have experience with medium or large scale wired and wireless networks.
Understanding of installation practices pertaining to wireless network infrastructure, including Fiber, Ethernet and other network equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of various Mobile Computing Device(s).
Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods, climb ladders and lift in excess of 50 pounds either with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have the ability to operate a variety of standard hand tools and power tools for extended periods per day;
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess the required qualifications below to be considered for this position:
Candidates will be required to travel for this position, including overnight or multi-night travel within an assigned or designated area.
Candidate must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of various mobile computing device(s).
Candidates will be required to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime to meet customer asset availability.
Previous experience troubleshooting mechanics and electrical systems is required for the position.
Candidates will be required to self-manage, follow travel instructions, and report to the project manager if any extreme issues present themselves in the field.
