Job Description :
This is a part-time, 16 hour/week position.
Duties
Perform duties and responsibilities requiring special expertise including, but not limited to:

Plan and implement retreat/event(s) with JAF oversight
Attend regular Family Retreat meetings as designated
Recruit qualified individuals for leadership positions
Finalize all Volunteer and Family registrations
Participate in ongoing dialogue for support to all leaders and teams for Family Retreat event(s)
Act as liaison between Joni and Friends and retreat site staff
Manage processing of family scholarship requests as needed
Deliver training for volunteers
Lead the packing and unpacking for Family Retreat event(s)
Communicate with Global Operations as it applies to schedule changes website updates, or other administrative or procurement event(s) needs
Coordinate with Vendors for facilities, sub-events, and support services
Serve as primary contact for attendees (families and volunteers) leading up to the weeks of Family Retreat event(s)
Use only current theme artwork provided by JAF Global Operations Department
Attend and lead designated Family Retreat event(s)
Process and debrief following Family Retreat event(s) and assist in plans for future events
Provide event reports as needed
Oversee and manage Family Retreat event(s) budget and finances
Policies – Work with the Area Ministries Operations Manager and National Operations Manager to assure implementation of policies and processes for optimal organization impact
Other activities and projects as needed to fulfill the mission of Joni and Friends and Family Retreats

Qualifications

Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
An Associate’s degree or above is preferred
Candidates must be able to travel on an intermittent basis locally
Demonstrate an ability to plan and execute across all departmental functions
Ability to be a servant leader who can lead and support Area Ministry staff
Candidate must be able to implement the vision and mission of Joni and Friends as expressed in operational goals for the event
Strength in integration management of ideas and processes; interpersonal and networking skills; conflict resolution, team building, budgeting, planning, and reporting
Candidate must possess the necessary skills to bridge relations between various volunteers of the ministry
Strong written and oral communication skills are a must
Experience in public speaking, multi-department communication, and team communication
