Job Description
What You’ll Do:
The SVP Planning & Insights has ultimate accountability for driving a best-in-class strategic planning solutions, including operations, talent, and intent-based planning across Publicis agencies and clients. The SVP builds a center of excellence, inspires the agencies and ensures the COE’s mission and objectives are achieved – to create an insight-driven culture and make performance planning and insights the strategic foundation on every account. The SVP is the lead executive steward responsible for agency relationships and holds the team and Publicis agency planning teams accountable for the delivery of data-driven insights and proactive client thought leadership. The SVP is an inspiring communicator and merchandises Intent-based Planning at conferences and through thought leadership content. The SVP plays a supporting role in agency’s new business leveraging their network to help identify opportunities to build Intent-based Planning into every performance marketing engagement across Publicis.
Role Objectives:
Practice Development

Evangelize and demonstrate the power, features, and benefits of IBP across the company and with clients

Ultimate accountability for VP/Directors to drive data-driven media and content strategies and growth
Nurture and enable team to grow and succeed
Interface with other department leads to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and identify and deliver new solutions for clients
Keep senior management apprised of key client opportunities and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
Develop, foster relationships and interface with Publicis agency planning and insights teams, client leadership and performance marketing leads

Maintain a thorough understanding of each client’s goals, markets, needs, expectations of performance teams and use that knowledge for ongoing communication and proactive thought leadership
Attend important client meetings as needed
Work to embed Intent-based Planning on every performance account and with senior clients
Proactively lead strategy and insight presentations
Help team solve client problems and deliver proactive and insightful thought leadership

Ensure continuous improvement, innovation and implementation of practices, processes, and tools to drive best-in-class strategic planning and generate audience, consumer and brand insights
Complete development and rollout of IBP to increase account penetration, grow revenue and improve performance results

Team Leadership & Development

Drive department values of teamwork and collaboration with accountability and intellectual curiosity

Empower and coach VP/Directors and Associate Directors, working to drive an insight driven culture, client business objectives and the strategic vision of Performics
Mentor and shepherd team skills and career paths
Conduct performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports
Ensure adoption of IBP through example, positive reinforcement, collaboration, case studies and training
Owns the hiring, training, and mentoring of senior level talent within P&I

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred, Master’s Degree in business, advertising or marketing optimal

Successfully worked in an executive role in the digital space for 4 years, career experience in digital strategy, research or marketing
10 years of strategic planning / consumer insights experience in digital marketing, direct marketing or e-commerce, client and/or agency experience preferred
8 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
A minimum of two years in strategic planning leadership role
Proven success in delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing executives
