The Group Sales Manager drives new business and adopts ownership of an existing portfolio of customers and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring targets are met. The candidate has proven success through performance as well as a thorough understanding and competence in sales and account management functions in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities include:

develop and execute growth strategies
prospect, acquire and develop accounts based on segmentation
engage in contract negotiations with account prospects and existing customers
conduct market research for new business opportunities

Duties include:

managing current accounts
organizing weekly sales calls , site inspections and client events
preparing and presenting effective proposals, presentations
maintaining well organized documentation and reporting
Utilization of Hyatt technology systems and coordination of customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.
Travel as required to assess prospects, attend tradeshows and connect with customers

The Group Sales Manager works as a team member within the sales, events and marketing team and in this capacity participates in sales and other staff meetings.

Requirements

A minimum of 1-3 years of group sales or comparable experience preferred
Must have experience in luxury or upper upscale hospitality properties
Proven ability to negotiate
Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
Strong conflict resolution capabilities
Possesses self-motivation and the ability to motivate a team
Strong presentation skills with value based selling confidence
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
Refined verbal and written communication skills
