The New Practice Openings Specialist will report to our Director of Practice Operations and partner closely with our Development and Medical teams to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for new openings.
What you’ll do
Develop and maintain our New Practice Openings procedures and checklists;
Partner with our Development team to ensure smooth handover of facilities once construction is finalized;
Oversee the master supplies list for new practice openings to ensure items arrive on time and meet budget requirements;
Coordinate all deliveries and arrival of inventory, ensuring that everything is in good condition and accounted for;
Coordinate with landlords/property management on all required new practice openings specific information prior to possession of practices;
Partner with our Facilities Department to coordinate with and lead set up of utilities (Internet, garbage, etc.);
Coordinate and lead set up of the practice, partnering with Medical Operations to set up medical supplies;
Ensure all operations are working properly, including medical equipment;
Partner with third party vendors and our Medical Operations team to ensure all equipment is functional ahead of opening;
Maintain and refine the operational processes that support our launches, simplifying systems and communication flow wherever possible;
Create and maintain a comprehensive New Practice Openings manual that outlines processes, Standard Operating Procedures and best practices that will support future practice opening teams;
Support with coordinating and leading trainings associated with new practice openings.
Who you are
Previous experience working in veterinary, healthcare, retail, or restaurant operations helping open a new location preferred;
Highly detail oriented;
Proactive self-starter, able to work well independently;
Collaborative problem solver;
Exceptional project management and organizational skills;
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and prioritize effectively;
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed deadlines;
Strong collaborator and have experience working cross functionally;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Experience using Slack, Google Suite, etc. preferred;
Willing to do extensive out-of-town traveling for periods of time.
