Job Description :
Duties

This position supports system administration for one or more systems within the Second Level Engineering portfolio. The incumbent will work in conjunction with Project Leads, System Management, Site Support, and Software Engineering functions as applicable to ensure system/program milestones are being met. Duties also include, but are not limited to: communicating system information to both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating team meetings to ensure coordination across functional areas, coordinating with the Prime Contractor to mitigate first order issues and engaging in technical discussions to achieve system goals. Use of lessons learned and fostering continuous process improvements and other support tasks as necessary to support system(s). The incumbent will lead and/or assist with evaluations of network software, servers, and other communications applications. Actively participates in working groups regarding current and future server and network mission-requirements.
Incumbent will contribute to weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc progress reports. Performs a mixture of routine and varying assignments under the minimal direction of a manager and/or project lead; serves as an individual contributor.
He/She will work with software and other communications applications to include, but not limited to, Linux, AIX, Unix scripting/file system and space management, Windows System Administration, Virtual Machine (VM) server administration, and System OS hardening.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H / FG/GS-10-12 . Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience may include but not limited to: Experience supporting technical projects and evaluations of network software, servers, and communications applications to include Linux, AIX, Unix scripting/file system and space management, Windows System Administration, VM server administration, or System OS hardening.
