Our Fairlawn, OH location is seeking an IFS Global Lean Manager to join our team.

THE POSITION
Ensure the long-term prosperity of IFS by creating and executing a strategy that drives a culture of systemic improvements to meet budget and CBS targets (e.g. eliminate waste, maximize delivery performance, and reduce cost) utilizing lean tools and targeted automation.
Create and support execution of the IFS CBS strategy aligned with the Operations Strategy that supports engagement at all levels of the organization in continuous improvement culture.
Analyze business needs together with IFS Management Team and business partners and initiate strategic CBS projects to support.
Live and promote CBS principals and methods
Utilize CBS programs and tools through the facilitation and coaching of value stream mapping, A3 thinking, and rapid improvement events.
Ensure a consistent and effective implementation of the Continental Gemba Management Standard
Develop ways to share best practices (Yokoten) across the BA and network with other BAs
Moderate/facilitate workshops and events to teach and realize results.
Measure CBS maturity and develop the organization towards 100% efficient and sustainable processes
Cascade the IFS strategic metrics along with the Group and Sector initiatives to each site through a structured implementation of Hoshin and TPOCs.
Report status of IFS CBS to top management
Communicate BA activities and coordinate with Sector and Group CBS teams
Initiate and control measures to improve CBS performance
‘• Ensure availability of qualified employees for the CBS function in conjunction with HR and Operations across the global IFS locations.
Develop BA Leaders and Local Coaches on the CBS management system through coaching (principles, methods, tools, processes etc.) and Deep Dive Training.
Act as Coach and Mentor at all Leadership Levels including but not limited to CBS coaches & Specialists to implement a culture of continuous improvement across IFS.
Motivate BU management, local management, and CBS teams for further CBS implementation in their area of responsibility
Lead and drive lean transformation (CBS) in the entire BA
Motivate and influence IFS Management and all further management levels to take over CBS ownership, making the CBS philosophy a daily part of how we operate
Activate CBS specialists as multipliers for CBS in order to anchor CBS in all organizational units within IFS
Inspire as role models all employees of IFS for lean behavior; bringing CBS to the hearts of all employees.
Translate business/project/product strategies into efficient, actionable, cross-function plans across the IFS global footprint to support the aggressive IFS organic growth strategy
Prepare IFS for further growth by establishing a framework for process improvement through factory automation.
Establish the roadmap for systemically utilizing the production performance monitoring (MES) tools to drive automation and production process optimization projects in all IFS locations.
Collaborate with local teams on ROI justification of automation and factory improvement capital investments across IFS.
Identify and prioritize targeted factory automation projects to improve quality, efficiency, and capability.
Utilize internal and external benchmarking to identify and implement best practice technical production process standards.
Facilitate selection of benchmarked production processes and efficient workflow for greenfield locations.
