Job Description :
Job Purpose:
Plans, organizes, leads, and controls Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Inventory Management, Receiving, Shipping, and Maintenance with the goal of ensuring customer commitments are met for quality and timely delivery.

Essential Functions:

Leads, fosters and develops a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing within Black Tie manufacturing. Change agent.

Leads manufacturing team in assembly, in-process inspection, paint/detail, final inspection and test with goal of continually improving operations by increasing throughput while simultaneously reducing cost of goods sold.

Develops operational goals and objectives in line with company goals and objectives with emphasis on quality, cost reductions and productivity improvements.

Plans daily, monthly production plans in line with company goal for units and monitors performance against plan…takes action when output does not meet expectation.

Develops robust processes for control of quality with aim of providing avenue for continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

Develops Inventory control simple but robust processes.

Documents processes in accordance with ISO9001 Quality System requirements and Black Tie Document and Record Control procedure.

Provides training on Quality System Processes and monitors performance against requirements.

Supports the Company Safety Program with goal of ensuring for a safe and suitable work environment for all employees and meeting the requirements mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.

Supports the Company Hazardous Material Generator Program responsible for ensuring local, state and EPA requirements are complied with as required.

Investigates process non-conformities to determine root cause and develops short and long term solutions.

Enforces all aspects of workplace organization with goal of providing safe and efficient work environment for Black Tie employees.

Additional Responsibilities:

Quality System Management Representative.

Manages special projects as assigned.

Provide assistance to other departments, as needed.

Leads Small Group Improvement Activity Teams.

Evaluates opportunities for improvements and launches initiatives for improvement in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program.

Manages capital improvement projects.

Responsible for permitting and vendor coordination.

Company level purchasing and cost savings initiatives.

Qualifications Guidelines
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: 4 year Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent and 15 years of related experience.
Desired: Master Degree in Organization Management, Engineering or Business Administration

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires knowledge of Quality Systems and implementation techniques, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing engineering, Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Manufacturing Operations, Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Cycle counting, Packaging, and Logistics; requires attention to detail. Ability to lead and mange several projects simultaneously; thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, Epicor/ERP systems and other data systems. Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; ability to accept constructive criticism; ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently; ability to lead, supervise and train others; ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with subordinates, members of management, vendors, and other employees.

Prefer experience in RV or Restroom trailer manufacturing.

Hands on leader willing to roll up your sleeves and work at all levels of the organization to include the factory floor.

Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is an Office classification and employees work in an office environment with numerous hours sitting and working using computer and telephone. Will routinely work in factory environment with exposure to noise and machinery.

Special Requirements/Certification:
Lean Six Sigma Master (LSSM, Desired)
Six Sigma Green or Blackbelt (Desired)
