The Director, Product & New Business / Growth Capabilities will oversee and lead a team to accelerate the development, adoption and integration of new capabilities and business models to support growth initiatives. The Director, Product & New Business / Growth Capabilities will support a portfolio of transformation capabilities and initiatives (i.e. IPP, marketplace, virtual goods). The Director, Product & New Business / Growth Capabilities will assess and prioritize capability gaps for existing, potential and new growth initiatives while also developing a roadmap for addressing gaps.

The Director, Product & New Business / Growth Capabilities has the flexibility of working remote/virtual, hybrid, or in office.
Champion and support innovation and key whitespace capability initiatives to drive long-term growth
Develop, incubate, integrate and continuously improve new capabilities and business models to support long term growth
Partner with internal function and business leaders to create a roadmap for new transformation capabilities and business models (i.e. vendor drop ship, marketplace, retail on-site ads, virtual goods), inclusive of technology, operations, vendor agreements/terms, measurement & reporting
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and present business case (Project description, workplans, ROI, KPIs, etc.) for required project approvals
Continually evaluate business processes and capabilities to examine pain points and identify opportunities for improvements
Overall project management and implementation, supporting complex project design and aligning with cross-functional teams
Establish ‘capability playbooks’ so that critical success factors and capabilities are identified and built within Foot Locker to facilitate long term growth and productivity
Proactively consult with, advise, and influence cross functional stakeholders on key strategic initiatives, while finding opportunities to problem solve and remove barriers to execution
Develop reporting tools to track success of new capabilities, operationally and in terms of customer sentiment, and ensure tools are widely embraced by relevant team members to drive accountability and improvement in results
Partner effectively across organization to ensure divisional teams are utilizing new capabilities as offensive tools for customer acquisition, new vendors and/or category growth, topline and margin growth, and overall inventory productivity
Stay current with global best practices and bring insights and learnings back to leadership team with an emphasis on strategy and/or process improvement
Ensure that IT roadmap supports new capability road map, and that resources are committed to any development work required
Provide insights into long-range financial plans on how capabilities can support productivity gains, and share learnings & best practices throughout Foot Locker
Work with data team to ensure dashboard reporting reflects key performance indicators for new capabilities
Recruit new partners and help identify acquisition targets to accelerate progress
Build and shape a team as needed to meet the needs of the business by hiring key roles as well as developing, coaching and retaining talent as we grow
BS or BA required
MBA (or equivalent) preferred
Proven experience as a Director or in other managerial position in a Retail environment
Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
