MSBC is looking for a dynamic
Company Trainer to join our Family Support Team and meet the needs of our rapid growth. As an initial member of the growing Learning & Development team, this individual will play an integral role in strengthening the foundation of MSBC’s training philosophy. The Corporate Trainer may be based out of MSBC Headquarters in Nashville, TN or work remote, and the position requires
up to 65% travel throughout the Southeast and beyond as the company grows. Travel includes extended overnight stays and may include weekends and some holidays.

The Corporate Trainer must have the drive and ability to instill our culture, values, and behaviors in others through effective learning experiences.
The Corporate Trainer is a high-energy individual who is passionate about providing superior learning experiences and working with different types of people in a dynamic work environment. The key function of this position is to create and deliver training tools and resources that produce definitive business results, including increased sales, improved operational efficiencies, and increased new store openings. The Corporate Trainer must become an expert on all things Maple Street for all Community Stores and provide ongoing support for other MSBC departments, including Operations, People, Culinary, Development, etc.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Corporate Trainer will design and deliver training curriculum for all MSBC Community Stores to support operational execution, leadership development, and new store openings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop training resources based on operational procedures and best practices, including position training guides, facilitator’s guides, job aids, etc.
Deliver instructor-led training to groups of 1-100+, including classroom settings, in-store trainings, virtual webinars/calls, company retreats, hands-on workshops, etc.
Schedule and oversee all on-site training efforts at new store openings, including managing the training/coaching team and supporting the store leadership team
Serve as the training lead on weekly development calls to support project management of evolving opening, hiring, and training timelines
Drive use of MSBC’s Learning Management System to instill fundamental training principles in all Community Stores
Build a culture of engagement during training sessions through effective communication, facilitation, and coaching
Identify gaps and update training curriculum based on company needs and changes to ensure accuracy and relevancy
Play an instrumental role in supporting expanding organizational and departmental goals and needs through learning and development
Partner with the greater People Team to support training needs, organizational growth, and talent acquisition and management
Work collaboratively and effectively with all Family Support Team departments, such as Operations, Culinary, Development, etc.
Develop robust training processes and programs to include ROI and evaluation
Perform training needs analyses for underperforming stores
Facilitate MSBC’s semi-monthly Leadership Training as needed
Pro-actively manage the Training Calendar
Assume administrative and coordination duties as needed
Participate in special projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsThe ideal candidate has proven experience related to the areas of responsibility above. Some specific considerations include:
Bachelor’s or four-year college degree is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of training or organizational development
At least 1 year of leadership experience with Maple Street Biscuit Company is preferred
Ability to travel up to 65% required
Experience delivering training to groups of various sizes and audiences. Must have a high level of comfort in front of groups and knowledge of adult learning principles.
Experience writing and designing training curriculum, including training and operations guides, PowerPoint presentations, and job aids
Experience creating and facilitating learning activities and exercises
Experience in operations, organization, and project management
Must have a passion to Help People, Serve Others, and Be a Part of the Community
Must exemplify the desire to create superior training experiences for others
Must display initiative, creativity, and willingness to learn from and motivate others
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and experience delivering feedback and coaching
Must be highly organized, self-disciplined, and pro-active
Proficient using Microsoft Office programs including Work, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to completed required certifications (TIPS, Food Manager, etc.)
