SHR Talent is partnering with a healthcare client in Columbia, TN in its search for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating and refining business requirements for all the Company’s products and will work with IT to address the needs of the business. The Business Analyst will also work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Medicare Business Strategy and a cross-functional team to formulate and document requirements to support the development and implementation of the technical solution in relation to the health care needs of the Company’s healthcare products.
As the Business Analyst, you will act as the liaison between the healthcare business needs and technology programing needs to understand the needs of the Company and develop required enhancements, reporting, and data analysis. The Business Analyst will also make changes to current processes, defining and streamlining policies and providing recommendations to current workflow. As the Business Analyst, you must also maintain a current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations including industry best practices.
To be successful in the role as the Business Analyst, you should be able to maintain confidentiality and privacy, possess strategic and problem-solving skills as well as written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to assess high risk issues and escalate as appropriate, and have the ability to utilize available information to focus the team’s activities and identify priorities.

Essential Job Functions

Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
Understand business systems technologies and processes with varying complexity
Plan, organize, and develop detailed analytical studies
Communicate business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team
Serve as business interface from the enterprise’s operational management team, managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics
Act as liaison between the Company’s healthcare business and the Company’s technological needs
Delegate tasks and responsibilities
Analyze and report data trends, sharing information with executives and applying it to the business goals, adding project value
Perform all other duties as assigned


Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or business related field of study, required
5 years’ of experience in healthcare related field
Advanced PC proficiency
Advanced skill in Word processing spreadsheet and database software
Knowledge of benefits, cross-functional processes, and managed care processes
Management experience
Leadership skills
