Machinery (www.pacmachinery.com) is a dynamic, privately held packaging machinery manufacturer in business since 1963. We manufacture export packaging machinery to Europe, Asia, North and South America – World Wide. Our equipment is used in numerous industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, food, and electronics.
Clamco, a PAC Machinery company, manufactures bagging and shrink packaging systems. Clamco offers a full line of flexible packaging equipment, including L-bar sealers, shrink tunnels, and automatic baggers. Clamco has a long-standing reputation for quality and can provide engineering expertise to assist with customizing products and systems.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clamco is a growing manufacturing company that is looking for a Brake Press Operator to work 1st shift. This is a long term, permanent position. The Brake Press Operator is responsible for or bending and forming parts to the specifications outlined by the work order. Duties may include: setup, quality inspection of completed parts, packaging, cleaning work area, and other duties as assigned.
Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
Setting up the tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Performing in-line inspection of parts to ensure press repeatability.
Adjust machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
Verify dimensions of products.
Evaluate the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
Maintain good housekeeping by keeping tools, material and equipment in proper place.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Previous experience in Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication/CNC
Experience working on press brake.
Blue Print Reading knowledge.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to do math conversions (fractions/decimals), and read a ruler/tape measure, calipers/mics.
Perform setup and operation of brake press machines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently. On occasion, lifting and weight exceeding 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to operate in all areas of the Plant. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
