As a Banquet Manager with the ACC, you will focus on what’s most important – supporting our team members in creating exceptional Member, client, and guest experiences, one opportunity at a time. We are centered on ensuring our associates have a sense of belonging, know they are valued, and are supported with the tools to be successful.
What You’ll Do

Supervise front-of-house banquet team members to ensure consistent service and execution of positive Member, client, and guest experiences.
Assist in implementing various training programs to maintain and achieve Service Excellence, driving Member, and client satisfaction and retention.
Support day-to-day operations of Private Events in all function spaces and The Booth Bowling Center, occasionally working with the restaurant and culinary teams on the execution of both Member and social functions
Maintain a well-manicured appearance, engaging in a persona that reflects ACC standards and values.
Additional duties as related to the Food and Beverage Department as applicable.

What You’ll Bring

At least three (3) years of Banquet Supervisor/Manager experience, with prior Club experience preferred
Certification in events management, culinary arts, or hospitality, with a Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Knowledge of business flow and event operations
Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and general familiarity of catering software and point of sale system experience required
Superior communication skills and capacity to be a strong leader.

This position reports to the Director of Member Experience and supports Private Event Sales

Salary: $55,000 DOE
Hours of Work: Variable
Major Areas of Responsibility

Communicate with Private Events and Culinary to ensure accuracy of event details, room setup, and service timelines
Oversee daily assignments, ensuring side work is completed in all function areas, to meet Club food and beverage operation standards
Maintain high morale among team members, leading and coaching as applicable for overall growth
Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage menus, along with daily a la carte features and special event menus
Possess a clear understanding of various beer, wine, and spirit offerings available in the Club
Stay current with food and beverage offerings, event operation techniques, supplies, equipment, and trends.
Assist with and oversee banquet beverage inventory procedures to ensure appropriate regulation and controls of food and beverage products
Manage scheduling to ensure appropriate event coverage and observance of budgeted labor targets
Review daily functions to verify accurate set-up and appropriate staffing to encourage positive Member, client, and guest experiences
Attend applicable staff meetings and BEO meetings, as well as participate in and/or lead daily line-ups, service training meetings, and sessions.
Collaborate with the FOH Food and Beverage team to create and implement new event and promotional ideas
Communicate all Member, client, and guest complaints to appropriate departments and management promptly and with discretion
Uphold and follow all Federal, State, and Local health, service, and safety guidelines.
Institute an orderly, welcoming environment, including proper set-up, breakdown, and show readiness of all function spaces, reflecting exceptional cleanliness.
Monitor all function event areas to ensure maintenance, cleanliness, and team member readiness
Acts as a server and/or bartender when needed, securing additional coverage as required in a timely manner
Stay abreast of daily event food and beverage operations, Club activities, and programs.
Remain knowledgeable on Emergency Action Plans and facility troubleshooting procedures, ensuring proper follow-up of incident reports.

The Banquet Manager position is a high-energy role and as such, some physical demands of the position include:

The ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
The use of hands to handle or feel, and the ability to reach with hands and arms
The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch
The ability to squat, bend, twist, and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
The ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds
The ability to speak loudly and clearly. This role is subject to loud noise for extended periods of time depending on the time and day of the week.
