We are looking for an energetic, experienced Product Sales Manager to join our Academic & Government (A&G) product sales team! The focus is on the Academic market and will work in tandem with the Government field sales team selling custom data and selling raw data, API’s or other integrations, custom data sets, reports or combinations of these alongside bespoke consultancy services into new Academic clients will be required. This position reports in the Regional Sales Manager for Academic Markets and is a team of 8.

Location: Remote, SW United States preferred.

What will you be doing in this role? :

As the remote Product Sales Manager at Clarivate, you will:

Drive new business sales growth and meet product sales goals for Web of Science & custom data and consultancy into the Academic & Government market (A&G).
Focus on universities to leverage the One Clarivate data, consultancy services, and content to support innovation and policy makers.
As a Product Sales Manager, you will build a robust pipeline with a clear focus on increasing deal sizes, cross – selling, and actively cultivate relevant market, industry, and product knowledge skills.
This is a full-time position.

About you…

Bachelors degree
Minimum of 5 years sales experience using a consultative sales approach.
Prior experience and in-depth domain knowledge of the US Academic Market.
Prior experience of selling to academia.
Proven track record of business development.

Developing accounts through proactive prospecting
Deep discovery to understand customer workflow and content needs
Adept at cultivating strong customer relationships with senior stakeholders
Consistent achievement of commercial targets in a complex sales environment

Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, subject to COVID regulations.

It would be great if you also had…

Bilingual skills.
Prior experience of with academic bids and tenders is a plus.
